Uyemura Group Companies

Uyemura (Thailand) Co.,Ltd
Uyemura Thailand Co., Ltd. was originally established in 1987 under the name SUM HITECHS CO., LTD., as a joint venture of three companies : Sanwa Bosei, C. Uyemura & Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Corporation. The name “SUM” was derived from the initials of these three companies. The business began with ABS plastic plating to support the rapid growth of the automotive and home appliance industries in Thailand. The first factory (F-1) commenced operations in 1988, and the company continued to expand steadily, earning the trust of global customers such as Toyota, Isuzu, and Chrysler.
Over the decades, the company has consistently developed and expanded its production capacity through investments in new production lines and advanced technologies, such as the Direct Plating Process and ENIG (Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold). Additional factories (F-2, F-3, F-4, and F-5) were established to support diverse production, ranging from plastic plating and automotive decorative parts (emblems, grilles) to printed circuit boards (PCBs). Despite challenges such as the 1997 Asian financial crisis and the 2008 global financial crisis, the company remained resilient and continued to grow. In 2012, Factory F-5 began full-scale production, enabling the company to achieve comprehensive capabilities to serve both the automotive and electronics industries.
After 2012, Uyemura Thailand continued to pursue sustainable development. In 2016, it began producing its own chemicals at Factory F-5 to strengthen quality control and manufacturing stability. In 2019, Factory F-7 was established to expand full-scale industrial chemical production and broaden the customer base across various industries. Today, Uyemura (Thailand) is recognized as a key production base in the region, providing comprehensive solutions in both plating chemicals and metal plating services to meet the demands of modern industries.
